Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Images document Bob from some early pictures with short dreadlocks towards the beginning of his international fame to his later years with dreadlocks down to his mid chest/back. A wide range of emotions are captured from thoughtful, joyous to intense, to pouring out his soul while performing on stage.
