Artist's Description
Digital art portrait in pop art style of African American woman rendered in rainbow colors and with an inversion of regular colors to emphasis the facial structure while still allowing one to see the inherent beauty of the woman. The picture is inspired by the literary work of Ntozake Shange titled "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/ When the Rainbow Is Enuf". The artwork questions what if We need more than the promise of Ntozake's rainbow?
